24 months**, and access to our support forums

Project Overview

In this project, the entire process of creating the train station environment will be demonstrated. In a step-by-step manner the instructor guides us through every section of this project.
Each section moves along into another phase of the production process. At regular checkpoints in the videos, the instructor will give assignments to the student.
Along the way many technical and artistic aspects are covered such as reference and concept art, cameras, blocking in the scene, modeling in Maya, using Photoshop to add texture and color, adding lights and effects, and many more.
The end result is a fully realized image that has been created from the ground up.
The final stage of this Project is to complete a portfolio assignment.

Time Frame

The Train Station Project including the Portfolio Project should take the average student TWELVE WEEKS to complete working at appoximately 20hrs a week. This is based on over 10 years of students completing a similar project in class. This time frame is then adjusted to give the online students more time to complete the task. Students will not be penalized if they cannot meet this time frame. This is only a guideline that should be followed closely if one wishes to finish the course within 24 months.

Project Overview

This will be the final project of the course. What sets this project apart from the rest is that the student will undertake a simulated art test just like most major studios would give during a job application process. Throughout the previous 4 projects, students have gained knowledge and been exposed to many different aspects of 3D graphics generation. In this project the student will be able to utilize all they have learned. Students will be given all the specifications and reference art to work off of. The one advantage the student will have in this Project as opposed to a real job application is that the instructor will be there to verify every step along the way. Once the "art test" has been completed the student, he or she will present the finished peices as a portfolio. With regular progress checks by the instructors, the students will stay on target towards completing the 3D Animation and Game Design course.

Time Frame

The Focused Portfolio Project is a personal project. We have allowed for
TEN WEEKS
in order for the student to complete this project working at appoximately 20hrs a week. Students will have to budget their time wisely in order to finish this Project in the allotted time. Students will not be penalized if they cannot meet this time frame. This is only a guideline that should be followed closely if one wishes to finish the course within 24 months.
